Palette – Collective experiments in neighbourhood supply
How does food end up on our plates and everyday goods in our cupboards? Behind these familiar routines lies a complex network of flows and logistics that keeps the city running, yet usually remains invisible.
From the Marolles neighbourhood in Brussels, Palette brings this hidden system into view. The exhibition (May 2026) is part of a broader City Mine(d) initiative that explores, together with local residents, how the systems that keep the city running work today—and how they could be organised differently.
The exhibition has three parts.:
Seven dioramas reveal, in a playful and sometimes ironic way, how urban logistics work today, where the system reaches its limits, and what opportunities exist to do things differently.

Palette aims not only to spark conversation, but also to put ideas into practice. Together with residents and local partners, the project develops and tests concrete alternatives for urban logistics. In this way, the exhibition becomes an invitation to help build a fairer city together.
